The Progel microgel, based on the calcium alginate gel system, is a widely studied system with proven benefits in pharmaceuticals, food and nutraceuticals. Gastric Protection

In the stomach, encapsulation protect against denaturation and deactivation by gastric enzymes and the low pH environment.

Controlled intestinal release

Progel microgels are designed to breakdown and release its contents in the intestinal environment. The rate of release is tuneable based on processing parameters.
